Why did you choose to study economics and finance?

I gained an interest in economics and finance in secondary school when I realised that I wanted to develop an understanding of the vast repercussions of global economic issues. I also had an interest in the financial markets so finding a program that combined both those interests was an opportunity I had to take.

Why were you interested in an internship in investments?

I have always had an interest in going into investments and wanted some insight on the day-to-day tasks working in the field. An internship in investments also gives me the opportunity to be exposed to different roles to find one that best suits me. This internship is a great opportunity to put what I have learned throughout university to use.

What attracted you to LPPI?

LPPI encourages a collaborative approach to working which attracted me to the company. LPPI gave me the opportunity to explore different departments within the investment team, exposing me to a world of knowledge. This kind of exposure is very valuable.

What do you hope to do with the experience gained at LPPI? 

I hope to use all the knowledge gained at LPPI to guide my next steps in the working world and pursue an investment role that aligns with my interests. Being able to enhance my analytical and communication skills through this internship should make me gain confidence in the work place - skills I will need as I begin my career.
