Today the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change announced Local Pensions Partnership Investments as one of the latest signatories to the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative.

What is the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative?

The Net Zero Asset Managers initiative is a group of international asset managers committed to supporting the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner, in line with global efforts to limit warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius; and to supporting investing aligned with net zero emissions by 2050 or sooner.

It is designed to mobilise action by the asset management industry to drive the transition to net zero and deliver the ambitious action and investment strategies that will be necessary to achieve the goal of net zero emissions. It also provides a forum to share best practice and overcome barriers to aligning investments to that net zero goal. More information can be found here.
